Kazem is a professional engineer with more than 28 years of experience in process design, commissioning and construction in LPG production, gas plants, water treatment, steam generation, and solvent recovery in SAGD plants. His design experience includes reception facility and high-pressure separation of gas, condensate and water, condensate stabilization and storage, gas treating, dehydration, ethane recovery, NGL fractionation, butane and propane treatment and storage, sales gas and sour gas compression, SAGD, and green hydrogen generation using electrolysis.
He also has expertise in process simulation HYSYS, PIPESYS, FLARENET, UNISIM, PROMAX, ASPEN EDR software, and sizing process equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, separators, and PSVs. He specializes in PFDs, P&IDs, line list development, datasheets, technical bid evaluation, project coordination, and acts as a subject matter expert (SME) or engineering lead for many projects.
Kazem received a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Tehran University. He maintains his Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
