Paul joined Catch Engineering six years ago, filling the Drafting and Document Control (S.M.E.) role, and established the drafting standards and procedures the team uses today. With more than 25 years of design and drafting experience in the energy industry, Paul has acquired skills in various mechanical, electrical and structural engineering disciplines. He continually mentors and supports the entire team at Catch Engineering and is actively engaged in all aspects of our projects.
Previously Paul has helped build and support small-to-medium sized EPCs, field services and fabrication operations. He has managed drafting, document control and IT teams and has completed training on the latest CAD systems, including AutoCAD, MicroStation and other third-party tools.
Paul has led 3D modelling projects to support the builds of oil batteries, compressor stations, high voltage substations, SAGD, chemical facilities, and well pads. He has a remarkable ability to adapt to working on both greenfield and brownfield designs.
Paul has many other interests in sports and outdoor activities outside the office, having coached hockey, ringette, soccer and lacrosse. He admittedly states that his leadership skills have been helped both personally and professionally by his extracurricular endeavours.
